Story Premise

Lady Mahala Pesh has been infected with the Wyrm Plague, but she didn't turn into a mindless forktongued beast like the others - she turned into a dragon. It is a good time as any to run away from her celebrity old life, but she can't get rid of the monster inside her that easily.

The story is set in Pomolin, a newly 'democratic' country headed by Executive Lord Protector Chares Pesh. While Pomolin enjoys a temperate climate with four distinct seasons, their winters are long and cold due to prevailing winds blowing from Mede's steppes.
